DIRECTIONS TO THE FARM

By Public transport – if you need us to pick you up it’s best if you can get to New Addington as it’s close to the farm. Please let us know in advance if you think you will need to be collected.

·      New Addington, tram from East or West Croydon Stations. We can pick you up from here, it’s only five minutes from the farm.

·      Bromley South mainline trains from Victoria, frequent service, takes 20-25 minutes. Can get a taxi to the farm for around £20 so good if you come as a group and can share it’s not too much. .

By Carfrom London - We’re just off the London AtoZ but we’re on road maps and it’s quite easy. You need the A233(sign posted to Biggin Hill) which comes off the A21 just south east of Bromley (on the AtoZ). At the lights cross over the A232 and keep following the road, you will go over a roundabout and past a Shell garage on the right. This is the start of Leaves Green, at the end of which is a big pub, The Kings Arms, on the left, just after which you’ll see the Passenger Terminal for Biggin Hill airport on the left. Then there’s a right bend followed by a left bend straight after which you will see two planes on the left, a Spitfire and a Hurricane. Get into the middle slip lane for a right turn into Salt Box Hill. Go all the way to the bottom and up the other side. Just before the top of the hill is a horses sign on the right, you will turn right into Highams Hill Farm (signposted Compost and Car Boot Sale) about 30 yards after the horses sign. Enter the farm to the left of the tree and pass through the gates. Follow the tarmac road around the field, over two speed bumps (go slowly as they are nasty ones). After the second speed bump turn right and come through a gate and past five or six caravans on your right. Continue straight ahead and park up under the lone Ash tree on the edge of the field. You will see us off to the right. Please don't drive onto the field if it is wet or you may get stuck, park just onto the grass.

From the M25 – from the West it’s easy, come off at junction 6 and get onto the A25 through Oxted and on to Westerham. At Westerham you need to take a left to Biggin Hill, it’s not sign posted but it’s the first left after the Zebra crossing. After the BP garage go straight over the roundabout and follow the road through Biggin Hill. Coming out of Bigggin Hill you will notice the airport on your right, the streetlights are shorter than usual because of the runway, just after this take a left down Salt Box Hill. If you pass a Spitfire and a Hurricane plane on your right you have gone too far.

From the M25 - from the East it’s more complex because junction 5 is complicated. You need to come off the M25 onto the A21 and then straight off onto the A25 heading West.  Good luck, I’ve messed this junction up more than once. once on the A25 look out for the A233 sign posted to Biggin Hill, on the right just before Westerham. At the roundabout turn right to Biggin Hill and follow the road. Coming out of Bigggin Hill you will notice the airport on your right, the streetlights are shorter than usual because of the runway, just after this take a left down Salt Box Hill. If you pass a Spitfire and a Hurricane plane on your right you have gone too far. Go all the way to the bottom and up the other side. Just before the top of the hill is a horses sign on the right, you will turn right into Highams Hill Farm (signposted Compost and Car Boot Sale) about 30 yards after the horses sign. You will see us off to the right. Please don't drive onto the field if it is wet or you may get stuck, park just onto the grass.

From the m25 – junction 4 follow the signs for A21 Bromley. At the 4th roundabout take a left signposted to Farnborough and Downe Village and immediately left again at the mini roundabout into Shire Lane. Continue until you reach a T-junction and turn right, signposted Biggin Hill. At the roundabout turn left and past a Shell garage on the right. This is the start of Leaves Green, at the end of which is a big pub on the left, The Kings Arms, just after which you’ll see the Passenger Terminal for Biggin Hill airport on the left. Then there’s a right bend followed by a left bend straight after which you will see two planes on the left, a Spitfire and a Hurricane.
